New Building
This was the last message I preached in Mwanza, Tanzania just before returning to the States. This message was run through a word processor and has been reworked to make it more readable and to add things I did not have time to preach.
I need to leave to catch a plane in about a half an hour; but I want you to know that you people are very dear to me. I love this time, and I pray that the Lord will have many more times like this for us. What I really want to see is: you guys rising up in the Spirit so powerfully that you will be building churches like this all over the place, and people coming to the Lord by the thousands; I believe that is what God would have me preach to you this morning.
God loves you people very much, and He also loves the lost people all around this church as well, and He wants them to have your peace, joy, and to be in churches praising and adoring God like you.
I was just sitting here looking at the congregation and thinking how much I love you guys, and a few tears came into my eyes: you are so dear to me, and it may be a while till I see you folks again; I can just imagine how much greater the love is that God has for you, and how many tears does God shed when He thinks about you? Jesus even loved a rebellious Jerusalem so much that He said, that He longed to take them under His wings, even as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings; how great is His love for us?
The love of Jesus, the love of God is so great it is beyond our comprehension: He loves us and He loves the people of the world. Jesus does not care if people are black, white, green, yellow, red, or what color they are: He loves you and I in just exactly the same way, and you are very dear to my heart.
When we were sinners in the world, before we were saved: everything we did was to gather things to ourselves; we lived in a world of darkness; nothing we did satisfied us, and even when we came to the Lord; we started out in a world that was pretty much surrounded by ourselves: We wanted to escape hell, so we got saved; we wanted to be healed, have lots of money, be comfortable, and it all could be summed up with: “I wanted”; and many Christians never get out of themselves.
Every one of us (who are born again) are in some stage of coming out of ourselves and coming into God. We all have things awrong in our lives that God has to put His finger on, and we should be in the business of getting rid of it. God wants our world revolving around Him: first meeting with God, and then being about God’s work, meeting the needs of others, not what do I get out of it; but what does God get out of it?
Every message that I preached in Africa this year: God has empathized the need to meet with God early in your day, and that we really do not know how to do our work without it; we cannot walk in the Spirit without it; we will never be a threat to Satan’s kingdom without it; we have a great work to do, and to do it we must be working hand in hand with Jesus Christ, and this principle is entered into, as we meet with Him, in full surrender and commitment.
You have a world of people all around this church: who know nothing about peace, joy, or happiness; they live in a world of darkness revolving around themselves; everyday they try to make enough money to live; they look for peace and happiness; they look for fun; and their lives are full misery, disappointments, grief, and pain.
Every time you walk up and down this mountain, and by all these houses, and all these people let the love of Jesus just shine out of your life: be Kind, have a smile on your face, don’t be pushy, let your light shine before them, and draw them to Jesus. The closer we get to God, and the more we do what He says, the more we will be able to attract these people, and bring them to Jesus.
Haggai 1: 2-6, “This people say, the time is not come, the time that the Lord’s house should be built. Then came the word the Lord by Haggai the prophet saying, is it a time for you, O you that dwell in your ceiled houses, and this house lay waste? Now therefore thus says the Lord of Hosts; consider your ways, you have sown much, and bring in little; you eat, but you have not enough; you drink, but you are not filled with drink; you clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earns wages earns wages to put in a bag with holes”.
In the time of Haggai the people lived in houses that had ceilings in them; but thought it was not yet time to build God’s house: those people were very poor, their crops failed, the people around them opposed them, a king stopped them; so they thought it was not yet time: I have noticed an almost universal thing among poor people; they are always trying to get instead of giving, that is the way of poverty.
Luke 6: 38, “Give and it shall be given unto you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. With the same measure that you mete withal it shall be measured to you again”. Jesus said that He is the Truth therefore know this, that this principle cannot fail. Haggai told the people that the reason they were poor and their crops were failing was because they were more interested in their own houses and security then the house of the Lord: this principle I find wherever I find poverty.
I will tell you guys this morning that if you take what you have, and begin building churches, get the people around you saved, and into those churches serving God; your prosperity will come to you: create a fund, buy land, build large churches, extend yourselves beyond your ability, let your faith bring in more money: get people saved, healed, and filled with the Spirit of God, and fill those churches up. God wants to do demonstrate to you, the great prosperity of those who get the focus gets off of themselves, and on to building His Kingdom.
Haggai 2: 19, “From this day forth I will bless you”; their selfishness had made them poor now when they started to lay the foundation of the temple, that is when God told them He would bless them; if you will not fail to meet with Jesus in the morning, in full surrender and commitment, and doing what He tells you all day long: you will rapidly build God’s Kingdom here in Mwanza, and you will change the very atmosphere in this city; you will take many who live in darkness and misery, and bring them into light and blessing.
If you will put God’s Kingdom first, after a time of testing your commitment God will supply your need.
Commit yourself beyond your ability and there is where you will begin to see God perform miracles: God always wants to perform miracles; but as long as you have money to spend on yourself, it would hurt you and not help you. You need a mind change, one that seeks after God, and then you will be ready.
God wants you to do even as God told Moses: the children of Israel were before the Red Sea; mountains on either side; the great Egyptian army behind; and God told Moses, tell the children that they go forward: no matter how impossible your situation; that is where God shows Himself strong.
Psalm 34: 10, “The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but that that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing”; you need to make up your mind if you believe God or not: is God telling the truth or not; the writer of the book of Hebrews says God cannot lie; so if you believe God then seek Him with all your heart, you cannot be denied.
John 15: 7, “If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, you shall ask what you will, and it shall be done unto you”; I tell that no one in history ever believed God according to His promise, and found God to fail him. I believe that there are some here today that will believe God, step out and prove His Word is true. God’s Word cannot fail. You cannot believe God with all your heart, for what God wants you to do, and it fail to come to pass, just because you do not have enough money: it has to come to pass if you believe.
The absolutely most important thing that a person can do is to develop a deep intimacy with God then all the other things need to come out of that time with God; if you try to do these things without that intimacy with God, it will utterly fail.
Romans 10: 8, “The word is near you, even in your mouth, and in your heart: that is the word of faith which we preach”; by the same token You can say, the money is near us, even in our hands so we do not need to go elsewhere to get; we just need to step out and start doing it and trust God for all we need.
I am very thankful for the time I have had with you guys. I am going to miss you guys very much. I love everyone of you. I must now return back to America, and we will be separated for a time; but I trust the Lord will bring us back together again soon. One day we will all be in heaven where we will never be separated again; can you imagine anything so beautiful? You guys are very dear to me. I trust you in God’s hands, and to His work, God Bless You, Brother Frank
When I finished this message I was feeling fine as I was all through the five weeks I was in Tanzania, I sat down and a spirit grab me by the throat and tried to kill me: it took me about five minutes to overcome it, I wondered at times if I would survive, and then it left me with diarrhea for some hours before I overcame that also: it was very clear Satan did not like this message.
