The Two Adams

End Time series 1

This word was preached in Africa 2008 and it is now reworked in a word processer to make it more understandable
It is nice to see you tonight. It is always nice to be in the house of the Lord. I am always glad to be worshipping with the people of God. God is sure worth all the praise we can give Him. God has saved us from sin, death, and destruction: He is worth all the honor and Praise. God has a great heart of Love for you people. God wants you to know what are the principles that each day, prepare you to do His will.
I plan to talk about the two Adams from 1 Corinthians 15: 45 “The first man Adam was made a living soul; and the last Adam was made a quickening Spirit”.
I will start with the first Adam; when God created Adam He told him be fruitful, multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it. God made the animals and the birds and each had their mate; but for man there was no mate. God said, “It is not good for man to be alone” so He took one of his ribs and made a woman to be with him.
God told Adam, “Be fruitful, multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it. God’s words are multilayered that is: there is a surface understanding, and then there are deeper understandings: it was a much deeper word, than it would appear to us on the surface: over the years to come: God will reveal more and more to us what He meant by those commands; those commands are in as much effect today, as they were when He gave them to Adam.
We tend to see mostly a surface understanding, of what God commanded Adam: such as have many children as you can, and take charge of the earth; I am sure that understanding is included, but we will find as we continue to follow God, closer than we have ever been, our understanding of it will deepen greatly; God wanted Adam to get much closer to Him, and understand and do, the much greater things He meant by His commands. God’s Original commands to Adam contain God’s original plans for this earth and He will not stop until we obey the whole thing. Everything God is doing on this earth all come out of His original commands, and not one jot or tittle will pass till all are fulfilled.
God brought all the animals before Adam, to see what he would call them, and I am sure that there is a deeper meaning in this also, and we will learn more about this also, as time goes on. One thing I believe God showed me many years ago was that it was not so much that Adam called an elephant an elephant, but that he reached inside himself, and gave the elephant a part of his own nature: so that the combined nature of all animals is man’s nature: each animal received a part of Man’s nature from Adam.
When God created woman, He had an order that He wanted Adam and Eve to follow; if they followed His order, then everyone would be safe: Adam heard directly from God, and Eve heard from her husband; this is the order that God set up for Adam and Eve.
Before God created man, He created Angels, and they had various ranks: one angel of high rank named Lucifer decided he was going to become like God, and apparently he persuaded a third of the angels, to rebel with him. Lucifer fell, and he fell so far that, there was not one good thing left in him; therefore he set about to destroy whatever he could of God’s creation.
When a predator attacks a herd of animals, he looks for the weakest member, and I am sure Satan thought, Eve was the weakest member; all Satan had to do was to get Eve to act according to what she thought, instead of checking it out with Adam.
Satan entered a serpent, and asked Eve if God said that, they could not eat of every tree in the garden; this would have been the best place to have called on Adam, Adam would not have been deceived, and all would have been well. Eve told the serpent that, they could not eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, lest they die; but Satan said, “You will not surely die, but you will become like God, knowing good and evil”.
Eve made the mistake of looking at the tree, and using her mind to make her decision, which caused her to come to the wrong conclusion, and therefore she was deceived. Eve ate of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, and fell from the innocent place where God had put her.
I imagine that Adam looked at his fallen wife, and knew if he did not fall with her that, he would have to give his life for her: he must have thought it would be easier to fall with her, and let another redeem them both; whatever the reason, Adam fell with his wife, and all creation fell with him.
People who look at a sin, and say it doesn’t look all that bad, and it feels so good, instead of doing only what God says, get themselves into a lot of trouble. If you do what God says, you choose life; but if you do what you feel like, you choose death.
When God came down, (as He had been doing every day), Adam and Eve hid from Him; God called, Adam where are you? Adam replied, I heard your voice and was afraid so I hid myself; because I was naked. God said, how did you know you were naked, did you eat of the fruit of the tree, I told you not to eat of? Adam replied, the woman you gave me, gave me of the tree, and I did eat. Eve said to God, the serpent deceived me, and I ate. God told the serpent because he did that he would crawl on his belly from now on, and the woman’s seed would crush his head, and he would bruise his heel.
God had a secret weapon, or tool with which He could redeem all who would choose to be saved: that thing was that, a woman could not pass her sin on to her offspring, yet she could give him a human body like Adam had.
Numbers 14: 18, God visits the iniquity of the fathers, unto the children unto the third and fourth generation; there we see that sin is passed on from the fathers; (but not from the mothers) to the children. If Mary could have passed her sin on to her children: Jesus could not have been born of Mary, and all of us would have been lost; because the deliverer had to be without sin.
The Holy Spirit came upon Mary, and she had a son named Jesus; Mary gave this Jesus the same kind of body as Adam had, and because He had no sin, but could be tempted as Adam; He was able to be the deliverer that, God had promised to Adam and Eve.
1 Corinthians 15: 21 says, “By man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead”; this reveals that because man brought sin and death to this earth; so it had to be a man to remove it from the earth.
Jesus, in order to be our redeemer, had to first become a man. In Philippians 2 it says, that Jesus set aside the His Godhood, and became a man, and was obedient all the way, to the death of the cross. Jesus had to become a man with the same characteristics as Adam, without sin, yet could be tempted just as Adam.
We see the first and the second Adam here in the book of Genesis; but we see it again in the last book of the Bible Revelation: the forth chapter is another multilayered word first speaking of the creation before the fall of man; but more completely about how it will be as it gets added to the Kingdom of God.
Revelation chapter five speaks of the plan of redemption under the second Adam Jesus, and how that He alone could break the seal of the book of creation and bring about its complete redemption. Jesus had to go through the tests that Adam would have gone through, if he had not fallen with his wife. Adam faced Satan, and fell; Jesus had to face Satan, without falling.
Revelation 6 speaks about as Adam went forth on a white horse he went conquering and to conquer; the bow in his hand really meant to produce from seed: he started conquering by tilling the garden. The red horse (sin) came into the world: the black horse commerce came into the world: and then a pale horse (death) came into the world.
Revelation 19 we see that Jesus and His faithful ones will finally bring about the end of the power of darkness; but now we need to continue with growing up of the second Adam: Jesus was the first person on earth that was sinless at childbirth: Adam and Eve were never born, and were never children. Jesus spent all of His childhood years, in the Old Creation: He was the only one able to truly serve God, under the Old Creation: under the Old Law; after Adam fell.
When Jesus served God, never once breaking the law, He fulfilled every aspect of the law: the only one who ever did, the only one who even could, after the fall: He was preparing Himself for the day, He would lay it all down, in obedience to His Father.
As Jesus grew in favor with God, and Man; God gave Him what He needed one day at a time: growing in perfect obedience, He became the wises child on earth, and at twelve years old, He was probably more wise then any even full grown man on earth. At twelve years old He could look at the doctors of the law, and see that they were not doing things right, according to the law.
At twelve years old, I don’t believe Jesus yet knew the plan of God; but thought that His Father’s business was for Him to straighten out, the doctors of the law; but God told Him to just go and submit Himself to His parents, which He did for eighteen more years, till He was thirty years old.
I imagine that Jesus helped His father in his carpenter work, and that He was the best carpenter in the world, the finest that could be produced on earth. I believe that earth could not have produced a finer man, a more brilliant mind, He was the epitome of what could be produced on earth; the problem with Jesus at this time was that, He was still in the Old Creation, and operated on the earthly plane.
Jesus came to the Jordan river, (John was baptizing), Jesus walked out into the water to John, and John said, I need to be baptized of you, and Jesus said, permit it to be so now, for we need to fulfill all righteousness: Jesus took all He gained, the finest this world could produce, and buried it in the river Jordan. Jesus went under with all He had gained over the last thirty years: He had the ability do anything He set His mind to, yet He buried it all in the river Jordan, and came up out of the water with nothing: He said, the Son can do nothing, except what He sees His Father do; yet the heavens were opened unto Him, and He always could see what His Father was doing.
Samuel told king Saul go and destroy the Amalekites, leave nothing that breathes: utterly destroy old to young; male and female; sheep, goats, cows, and anything that breathes; leave nothing alive: Jesus left nothing alive out of His past, all was buried under Jordan, and all His new life was now found in His Father. Our own baptism is also illustrated by this same example: we said by baptism that we bury all our old life, both good and bad; and we will now live in newness of life.
When Jesus was baptized: He figuratively was transferred from the Old Creation, to the New Creation, and He now operated out of the New Creation. Jesus as He Arose out of Jordan, the Heavens were opened unto Him, and He then could see what His Father was doing; for the rest of His life, He never did one thing that came from His mind; but only what He saw His Father doing: His Father provided all the wisdom, all the strength, and everything He needed.
Every day, (for the rest of Jesus’ life), was like a new baptism: when the day was ended, Jesus buried every experience, every action, every test, everything: they could not be used again, they had done their work, He was done with them; the next morning was a new day, all new experiences, all new actions, all new tests.
Every day for the rest of Jesus’ life, was lived for the purpose of preparing Him for the next day, and all the days together, was to prepare Him for the cross, and for His battle with Satan and death; had Jesus faced His days, without preparation of the earlier days, He probably would have failed.
Jesus never lived in the past, and He never lived in the future, the past was gone and forgotten, and He was not yet ready for the future: He only lived in the ever present now; every morning Jesus’ preparation was for that day only.
Many Christians do not know what it is to live for today: they hold grudges from the past; they are angry about things from the past; they reminisce about nostalgic past experiences; and they worry about finances, food, clothing, shelter, and they look forward to the resurrection and heaven; but to live for today seems foreign to them: everything is always memory or dreams; but their days are lived in vanity.
Memories are not for living in the past; but to learn from them, so we do not repeat our mistakes, and to see how God saved us; Dreams, are to be brought into the present, where they can be lived out: always live in the present.
Christians fight each other; try to persuade each other; rule over each other, but they never seem to emulate the pattern Son: they never look to Jesus to see how He did things; yet He is the only one God set for our example, as mature Christians. The Bible tells only the babes, children, and the rebellious to follow men, and even then it is only men who are inheriting the promises Hebrews 6: that can pray for and receive healing, leading, finances, and thousands of more promises; it also tells us to obey governmental laws.
Jesus though He was the ruler and Lord, never lorded it over His disciples, though he could have if He chose to: He gently led them as they asked, and desired Him to, and it is how He even now leads the church; this is also how Paul tell husbands to rule their wives: laying our lives down for them, rather than lording it over them. The world’s rulers say, “We are ruling over you for your own good”; but Jesus said, it will not be so in His Kingdom: Kingdom authority works virtually opposite of this world’s authority Matthew 20: 25, 26: Kingdom authority comes to servants not lords.
Peter said “We ought to obey God, rather than men”: when a person has learned to walk in the Spirit, men will only side track you, “As many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God”: you cannot be led by the Spirit of God, and men at the same time “No man can serve two masters”; there will at times be an exception when at work, play, and other crowds to maintain order, but be led by the Spirit; leaders who walk in the Spirit: will lead mostly by example, not by command.
Matthew 20: 25, 26, “The princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them; but it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister (slave)”; all who lord it over others: are operating in the Old Creation, and by this world’s standards.
At the end of your day: bury everything; forgive everyone for the wrongs done to you; if need be, ask others to forgive you; forget each sin; forget even the good things: living in the past, will only keep you from living in the present, and doing God’s will; in the morning resurrect into a new day: spending the early hours with Jesus, for new power, new leading, and then live it all day long with Jesus. Jesus is the answer, for every day; and every experience that you have each day, came from Him: He sent it to prepare you for tomorrow. In meeting with Jesus; do all He tells you, surrender to all His dealings: if the doctor tells you, “Open your shirt so I can check your heart”, and you say, “no” then he will say, “I can’t help you”, you need to surrender to him first.
When Jesus came up out of the water: it says in two of the gospels that Jesus was driven of the spirit into the wilderness, the other two say, He was led by the Spirit into the wilderness: I imagine in my mind that Satan drove Him from behind, and the Spirit of God led Him from the front.
Jesus entered into a new life, and it had to be tested to see if everything He had experienced to date had done its work, and was He able to operate up to expectancy or not: God tests all His children; in every stage of their lives; Jesus never missed one work from God, thus He passed all the tests.
Satan had never had a person on earth, he could not get to sin, and I suppose he thought he could find some weakness in Jesus that would trip Him up. Satan each time he tempted Jesus, he said, “If you be the Son of God”? Therefore it must have been His greatest test: would He operate as the Son of God, or the son of man.
1 Corinthians 15: 21 says that because man (Adam) brought death into the world, man (Jesus) also brought the resurrection: If Jesus had operated as the Son of God, than He could not have been our Savior; therefore Jesus did all things on this earth as the son of man, doing all things without sin, qualifying Him to be our savior: Jesus had to operate under the same conditions that Adam would have operated in, if he had not fallen.
Jesus was and is the Son of God, and as the Son of God, there was nothing He could not do: He could not even be tested, as He could do anything; but as the son of man: He was tested and tried almost to the very limit of endurance, and He must not revert to operating as the Son of God; but He must defeat everything Satan threw at Him as a man, if He was going to save us, what a test.
We often think we can do things with our minds, without Jesus, when Jesus could do only what He saw His Father do (what arrogance); we need to practice and practice getting rid of self confidence, and just look to Jesus, for everything that we need: we must be yoked with Jesus, all our confidence must be in Him, we must move forward defeating Satan at every turn. Jesus laid His mind down, and buried it in the river Jordan, and thus He had all He needed to defeat Satan; we also must lay our minds, down burying it in baptism, then God will give us all we need to defeat Satan: if we think we can figure one thing out, we will lose this battle, all confidence must be in Jesus: until all our confidence is in Jesus, our days will be filled with mistakes, sins, and failures.
Jesus said, if we do not take up our crosses to follow Him, we are not worthy of Him: this means we must do nothing in the Old Creation; but all things must be done operating out of the New Creation: You operate in the New Creation only, as you meet with Jesus first; meet with Him before you begin your day. We must surrender totally to all that Jesus will do in our lives all day.
All day long throughout our day, we may experience hard tests and trials, and sometimes nice things: all are from God, and are meant to prepare us for the next day; accept each experience gladly, and without complaint, all are for our good: each experience will help to bring a part of us through the cross, and into the New Creation, and is of immense value; Jesus only gives exactly what we can handle.
This is the life that Jesus lived every day, and He is our example that we should do as He did. If we are faithful to do as He did, then we will be preparing to rule and reign with Him, and God will use us to help bring about the end of all evil on this earth, and bring in God’s Kingdom, just as Jesus could not save us, till all He had that was of the Old Creation, was brought into the New Creation; neither can we reign with Him, till all that we have received from Adam, is brought into Jesus Christ; nothing must be left behind.
In all that we do, we must look at Jesus Christ: the reason Jesus defeated Satan was, He never looked at the test, only at the Father; so we must never look at the test, but only at Jesus Christ.
Jesus had His disciples get an upper room, where He could eat the Passover with His disciples: there God made final preparations in Jesus, to prepare Him for the great test of the Garden. Jesus’ great love for Judas was brought to the test: Jesus gave him the sop, though He knew that Judas had turned traitor, and was going to betray Him.
Jesus washed His disciple’s feet, gave them many instructions, and prayed for them, before going out into the garden.
Jesus, all through His ministry, said words that were meant to get His disciples to dig for much greater truths, and get them to move in a much greater realm, where they would be prepared for the great tests to come; I do the same, but I don’t seem to have any more success than Jesus did: Jesus told His disciples “Watch and pray that you enter not into temptation”; but it was like water running off a duck’s back: I know that I will preach these messages, and probably less than five percent of Christians will take it seriously, but I will preach it anyway, and prepare all who will listen.
When Jesus went into the garden with the eleven disciples: He told eight to stay here, short of where He was going; He went a little further and told the three remaining to stay, while He went a stone’s throw further: this was going to be the greatest test He had ever faced, to date, and He could not take a chance of being tripped up by, the unbelief in His disciples.
People try to get together to pray in unity; but it is only earthly unity, and cannot produce heavenly result; if you must do it that way, remember, there will be much unbelief present, and the result will be spotty at best.
The unity that always works: is when two or three are led by the Spirit, they may be in opposite parts of the world, having never known each other, (there is no distance in the Spirit), and are praying for the same thing. Unity in the earth realm: is never perfect, therefore it is not in Jesus’ Name; but unity in the Spirit is always perfect, and it is always, in Jesus’ Name: and the results are always eternal.
Many in a crowd come forward only to be seen of men, and they receive honor one of another; therefore Jesus says, they cannot believe: John 5: 44, “How can you believe, which receive honor one of another, and seek not the honor that comes from God only”? How can one do God’s work, unless he does them just as Jesus did them?
All the things Jesus faced, prepared Him for the next things: the garden, the Sanhedrin, Pilot, Herod, Pilot, beatings, spitting, Crown of Thorns, mocking, and finally the cross. When the solders came to arrest Jesus; Jesus asked who are you looking for; they said, “Jesus” and Jesus Said, “I am He”, and they fell over backwards: with the power that Jesus had, He could have delivered Himself at any time, but would He save Himself, or would He save us?
When Jesus was on the cross: some said, “He saved others, Himself He cannot save”, and others said, “Come down and we will believe”: all the preparations that Jesus had, were now put to the ultimate test, and He passed every test.
Jesus taking our sins upon Him was like jumping into a cesspool of sewage, rotting corpses, and maggots to rescue a drowning man; the tests that Jesus faced is beyond any description we can come up with, yet He was faithful unto the end.
If Jesus had not lived His life, one day at a time: went to His Father every morning, and got what He needed for that day; buried everything at the end of each day; and the next morning, Met with His Father again; He likely would have lost the battle, and we would all be lost.
I pray that everyone here: will learn from what Jesus did, and go home, and follow Jesus’ example every day for the rest of their lives. God Bless You.
